Any place with a large collection of expensive wine is a target for wine theft. It shouldn’t seem easy. Cases of wine are heavy, and take time to move, but certain people know what they are looking for: rare and expensive wines. Restaurants have long been the target, with increasing numbers of attempts in the last few years. Unfortunately, personal collectors are also targets. While many of these crimes seem to be related: happening on holidays, similar wines stolen, we have yet to see if the same culprit is responsible.
