Unfortunately throughout the world we are seeing counterfeit wines get more complex and challenging to authenticate. On the reverse side, we are also seeing many terrible copies flood the marketplace. Some of these are just back fakes by people who do not have attention to detail. Others are Chinese copyright infringement cases where they are supposed to look just enough like the real thing, but not enough to catch a lawsuit.
